AVAILABLE FREIGHT FREE WITHIN AUSTRALIA These also go under the name of "Leaf and Debris" covers and as the name implies, these covers are an ideal solution for pools that are subject to a degree of leaf fall. Many customers employ this type of cover as a means of closing the pool completely for the winter or "non swimming season" where they give the pool a final clean and then put on the winter cover for the duration of the winter, confident that the pool will remain free of leaves and debris over the winter months. The saving in cleaning time is substantial. Winter Covers are made of a weave material, where the weave is extremely fine so as not to allow even small particles of rubbish into the pool. Instead of being cut to the shape of the pool "onsite" these covers are sewn using an industrial sewing machine and arrive at the pool site in their final shape and size. Winter covers are made slightly larger than the pool so as to give a slight overlap all the way around the pool which adds to the covers ability to keep rubbish out of the pool. Winter Covers do not require a roller as they are quite light to handle. They are also fixed at regular intervals approx every 800mm around the pool so that sealing the pool off is complete and effective. While not as effective as a solar blanket, winter covers will assist in reducing evaporation and will also assist with warming the pool as well. A word of warning though WINTER COVERS ARE NOT SAFETY COVERS AND MUST NOT BE USED AS A REPLACEMENT FOR AN APPROVED AND PROPERLY INSTALLED POOL SAFETY FENCE. So if your pool receives a large amount of leaves or if you find you just don't get the time to regularly clean your pool, why not consider a Winter Cover.
